We’re on the Whole 30!
How was your summer?! Ours was wonderful and full of friends, family, travel and tons of delicious food. With all of these fun times come lots of glorious food indulgences!
But all this indulgence left us feeling a little…sluggish. I am now working out about 6 times a week, and I felt like all of these little indulgences were adding up and counteracting the hard work I was putting in at boot camp, yoga, and on the trails & track.
So, Ben and I decided to try the Whole 30 in order to re-set our minds and bodies and to get a fresh start moving into fall. The first week or so was a little difficult. My biggest challenge was cutting out desserts (and all sugar for that matter) and my weekend evening glasses of red wine! But now we are on day 20 of 30, and things are smooth sailing. In fact, we are feeling awesome, and my pants are even feeling a little looser! The Whole 30 has definitely inspired some creativity in the kitchen.
